Reflecting on what he had been told, Jon couldn't help but feel sad at the fact that his family no longer existed the way he remembered, prompting him to say aloud "I wish Mom hadn't left you." Suddenly, there was a glow emanating from beneath the table. Jon's eyes went wide, realizing that he was still holding the stone.
"There you two are," Jon heard his mom's voice say. Both Jon and Mark turned towards her, their eyes wide. Mark heard Jon's wish, so his memories weren't changed to fit the new reality where Mary (Jon's mom) was still part of the family. But how did that work now? Was Jon still only married to his father? Or was his father married to both Jon and Mary? This was getting too complicated and it wasn't what he originally wanted.
Mary took a seat at the table and looked a bit confused at Mark. "What's wrong?"
"What are you doing here?" Mark asked. "Shouldn't you be a couple hundred miles from here?"
Mary looked even more confused. "Mark, what are you talking about?"
