"I wish Jon would go buy girl's clothes and change into them before coming here, leaving his old clothes behind." Karyn giggled. "I wish that the clothes he buys will be intended for a girl younger than ten years old." She turned her attention back to Jon on her monitor.

Jon was just leaving his driveway. He was thinking of going towards Karyn's, which would mean backing out to the left... but then he was struck by a sudden desire to go the opposite direction, to the mall.

Following his desire, Jon backed out to the right and drove to the mall. When he got there, he parked his car in front of the department store and walked in.

Inside the store, Jon walked resolutely forward along the aisles between the racks of clothes. "Why did I come here?" He thought to himself. He passed by the men's section, knowing that he didn't need a suit, even if he didn't know why he was there. He passed by the women's section, momentarily stopping to admire the 'intimate' section, as well as a couple of the women shopping there. He cut through the tableware section, still wondering why he was in the store in the first place.

Then he saw the children's section. He knew this was where he wanted to be, for some reason. He started to go into the boy's section, but didn't stay long, he was too tall to fit into any of the pants, and the shirts were all covered in insignias from various cartoons that Jon had grown out of or had never heard of.

Lost in thought about why he was there, Jon unconscienciously drifted toward the girl's section. He brushed up against something on a rack, accidentally knocking the item to the floor. Jon picked it up and saw that it was a very cute pink dress. Not knowing what compelled him to do so, Jon felt the material of the dress. It was wonderfully soft.

Jon looked around. No other customers were in the section, and the clerk at the register was looking the other way. Nonchalantly, he slid towards the register. He kept his vision focused on the floor as he sidled up to the counter.

"Hello," Jon said, to get the clerk's attention, "I'd like to buy this."
