As she stood there, Zoe ran up to her. "Athena!" she yelled out.
Sarah turned around and was immediately disgusted. Ugh. Not another one, she thought. The first thing she was gonna do when she got her body back and the stone was to make sure there were none of these freaks roaming around.
"Athena," she said, out of breath from running. "I saw you talking with Sarah. What did that bitch want?"
"I'm not a ... I mean ... she's not a bitch."
"Why are you being so nice to her all of a sudden? No one hates her as much as you." Then Zoe made an odd expression, as if something had just occurred to her. "She didn't use the stone on you, did she?"
"What stone?" Sarah asked, feigning ignorance.
Zoe shook her head. "It's ... nothing." She looked preoccupied, as if her mind were on something else. But that's because it was. She was looking for Sarah ... and the stone. Little did she know, the Sarah that took the stone from her and Jon was standing right in front of her.
"I've gotta go," Sarah said, pushing past the Goth girl.
"Did you want to meet up later? Maybe at the club?"
"No!" Sarah yelled, as she quickly walked away.
Zoe was still confused by her friend, but she said she didn't notice any stone, so that couldn't be the cause of her change in attitude. Right?
