Jon arrived at what used to be Karyn's plain-looking aluminum siding house. Now it looked more like a small castle, complete with gargoyle statues.
He walked up to the large wooden door and knocked.
Moments later, it opened, revealing Karyn. She was wearing a long black gothic dress. Jon also noticed that her skin was pale white and her hair was now jet black. But she had no black make-up or piercings.
"Jon?" she asked, surprised. "Why art thou here?"
"Huh? Why are you speaking like that?"
Now she looked as confused as Jon felt. "What art these strange words thou speaks?"
"I was about to ask you the same question. Why are you speaking in Old English?" Well, it was what Jon thought was Old English.
"I know not what thou means."
This was getting nowhere. So, Jon asked if he could just come inside. Karyn said he could, so he did.
The inside of the "house" looked much like the outside. The walls, floors, and ceiling were all stone and the only light around were torches and candles. It looked more like a castle dungeon than a house.
When they entered Karyn's room, Jon got a shock. There were bookshelves that lined the wall, all filled with occult and witchcraft books. And there was this horrible smell, which Jon discovered was coming from dead animals that were being hung from the ceiling.
Karyn walked over to a black cauldron which was boiling over a fire in the center of her room. She began to stir it with a large stick.
The picture was right out of some sort of fairy tale. Karyn was a witch.
