Jon decided to tell Karyn the truth as he hated seeing his best friend unhappy. "Karyn, you know how I have been staring at you all morning?"
"Yeah, any chance you could stop doing that. Anyone would think that you've never seen me wear a mini before!"
"Ah, well that's it, you see I haven't."
"You haven't what?" asked a perplexed Karyn.
"You know, seen you in a mini skirt before, let alone high heels and sexy top like that," replied Jon.
"Jon, this is how I've always dressed, ever since we started at the same school together nearly 5 years ago."
"Um no not really," began a very guilty Jon, "Today is the first day you have ever dressed like that for school, because I made a wish this morning that all the girls would have to dress sexy for school, just before you got here. So since you didn't hear the wish, you think that it has always been that way."
When Karyn didn't say a word after quite a while, Jon mumbled a few Sorrys in the hope that she might for give him. Finally Karyn spoke up and asked Jon how he intended to fix things.
"Well, I'm not sure. I thought it might be fun to see how the girls looked before I try to change things back..."
"Jon, as far as I am concerned, I have had to dress in this slut attire for five years, and one minute more is one minute too long. So, either you fix it or I will!"
"OK, I'll fix it. Just give me a few seconds to work out the wording of the wish."
"Maybe you should give me the rock while you practice, so you don't make anymore stupide wishes," suggested Karyn.
Without considering that he was handing the rock to someone who had just moments earlier declared that they were seriously pissed at him, Jon handed the rock to Karyn and earnestly tried to work out the best way to get around his early morning wish.
Karne asked, "Maybe I can help. What if you tell me how you worded the wish in the first place, we can work out how best to counteract it?"
"Um, OK. I said that I wished that all the girls in the school would have to dress in sexy, feminine clothes for a whole week, even if they don't want to. So I don't understand why you think that you have been dressing this way for years, it should only be for this week."
"Well," began Karyn, "remember it changes reality in some way to make the wish plausible. So in order to make your wish happen, it simply made it so all the girls always dressed this way at school. Which gives me an idea."
"What?" pleaded Jon.
"I think I have a way to get around this wish in a way that will make us both happy." Without waiting for Jon's approval, Karyn began, "I wish...
