As Jon and Karyn walked home, Jon seemed preoccupied.
"Jon? What is it?"
"I was just thinking about my grandfather's letter."
"What about it?"
Jon stopped and looked at Karyn. He held the stone up in front of her. "I've got the most powerful item in probably the whole universe."
"Okay. So, what about it?"
"I can save him," Jon said.
"Save who? Your grandfather? Jon, he's dead."
"But with the stone, I can save him. We can save him."
"Jon, I know you two were close, but I don't think ..."
But Jon wasn't listening. He had a wish in mind and he was going to say it. "I wish ..."
