As the dizziness subsided, a football dropped into Jon's waiting arms and he began to sprint down the field.
His mind suddenly started racing a mile a minute as he found himself running at top speed towards a dozen 200-pound beasts of young men heading straight towards him.
Everything happened so fast Jon barely had time to process what happened until it was over.
As Jon came to the first of them, he darted to the left, but another grabbed on to him. Summoning strength Jon couldn't imagine, he ripped himself free of the tackle's grasp only to see another hulk racing right at him. Jon was still running and winced just before impact when one of his teammates flew win from the side and knocked the man away. Now with open field ahead, Jon's heart raced. Oh my god, he thought, that was amaz-SLAM!
Jon was blindsided and nailed to the ground, the impact with the firm turf knocking the wind out of him as a colossus in a red jersey slammed down atop Jon.
When Jon caught his breath he was slightly dazed as two of his teammates in white jerseys were helping him to his feet. As Jon was pulled up he noticed his arms were bulging with muscle, he was wearing gray gloves and had white armbands on each of his biceps.
"What's going on?" asked Jon.
"Hey, you OK, man?" replied one of his teammates.
Jon took off his helmet and looked around the cheering stadium and his head began to clear. Of course, he thought as he remembered the jockstrap.
"All right," he said, surprised at the strong voice that came out. "This time I'm actually a football player."
"What are you talking about?" said Jon's teammate. "Hey coach," he yelled. "I think there's something wrong with Jeremy."
As the coach began to walk over, Jon looked down at his white pants and Colorado #15 jersey and wracked his brain to figure out where he was.
"Son, what's your name?" the coach asked.
"Jeremy Bloom," Jon blurted out before he realized what he was saying.
"And where are you?" the coach continued.
"I'm in Boulder, we're playing Florida State," Jon replied.
"Sounds good to me," concluded the coach. "Nice run, Bloom. Take a seat."
Jon walked through a crowd of his white-shirted teammates towards the bench. He didn't seem any taller than normal, but he could feel the strength throughout his body. Jon was just amazed that he carried the bulky pads on his shoulders and knees as if they barely weighed a thing.
He sat down and removed his mouthguard as sweat poured down his face. He grabbed a water bottle and squirted it into his mouth, the water feeling rejuvenating as it refreshed his throat.
Jon looked down at his body again and was amazed by what he saw. "This is awesome," he said as he took in his massive legs. "I never thought I'd have a body like this."
He reached uo under his jersey and felt a well-definded six-pack covered in sweat. Suddenly the wall of football players in front of him erupted in cheers and Jon jumped up to see what had happened on the field.
