I got home and sat down to watch some TV, ready to take my mind off this incredible gift I just received. I was flipping through the channels and settled on "SportsCenter" to see what was going on today.
They were talking about some baseball player that just got a huge new contract. "Man," I thought, "That must be a great life." Then, I got an idea. I could use the stone to become a professional athlete!
I was about to make the wish, but I realized I had to be careful. Did I really want to completely change my entire life? If I wished to be a professional athlete, I could never undo the wish, so I took a few minutes and thought of a way around. Finally, I was ready to make my wish.
"I wish that I had a magic jockstrap that temporarily transports whoever is wearing it into the body of an athlete. While in the body of the athlete, the wearer will have all the memories and skills that go with the body without forgetting who they really are." I was about to stop, but then I remembered what I had done to Karyn and I realized all the fun my friends and I could have with this. "Also, I wish that anyone who is touching the person who wears the jockstrap is also transported with them to the body of another athlete."
I exhaled. I think I covered all my bases on that wish. I sure hope so. I looked around and sure enough, there was a jockstrap sitting on the living room table.
It looked like any ordinary jockstrap, brand new, but otherwise unremarkable. I picked it up and my heart started to race. I had seen what this stone could do, but could I actually become another person?
There was only one way to find out. I looked around. No one was home, the street out front was quiet. Well, let's see what this stone can do.
Slowly, I put on the jockstap and pulled it up over my legs. Just as I was getting it into place, I began to feel slightly dizzy and the room became blurry.
