Interesting, Cork. I, on the other hand, thought the names were neat little signals indicating that Monsta's stories were set in a parallel universe. I do see what you mean, though. They could be distracting. And some might want stories to be set in a world that is just like ours with only minimal, necessary differences (e.g., the existence of Jon, Karyn, the stone, etc.). The invented names do stand out because Monsta's style otherwise makes me feel everything is real. I wonder what others think.
