"Hey Jack, what did you get for question 21?" Biff asked not looking up from his paper. When there was no answer Biff tried again. "Jack." He said. Still no answer. Biff looked up and sighed.
Jack had seemed to have gained the attention of a girl sitting a few tables away from them. The girl was wearing a T-shirt and jeans and her hair was cut short in a masculine fashion. Jack was making googly eyes at her and giggling.
"Jack!" Biff said nudging him this time. That seemed to get his attention.
"What?" Jack said sounding annoyed.
"I'm stuck." Biff said pointing to his paper. "We'd promised we'd help each other out remember?"
"Right, ok. Sorry." Jack said turning his attention back to their homework.
Just then the girl got up and approached their table.
"Hey there." She said more to Jack than Biff. She placed one hand on the table and then her other on the back of Jack's chair leaning over him.
"I couldn't help but hear that you were stuck on your homework." She said again ignoring Biff. "I could lend you a hand." Jack blushed and giggled.
Biff frowned. "Um, thanks but I think we can work this out ourselves." He said.
"Actually, I could do with some help." Jack said playfully.
"Alright then." The girl said pulling up a chair and sitting next to Jack.
"I'm Stacy, by the way." She said smiling at Jack.
Jack blushed again. "I'm Jack and this is Biff." He said pointing to Biff.
"Uh huh." Stacy said again appearing to ignore Biff. Biff sighed.
They were never going to get any work done now.
