Jon looked around, trying to see if anything had changed.
"OK, so my room's not affected, nothing's different with me..." He said to himself. "Maybe Zoe or Mikey?"
He stood up and walked towards the door. A few steps in though and he remembered that Mikey was over at a friend's place until 8pm and Zoe was over at Zelda's working on a history report, so she wasn't home either and wouldn't be until 10pm.
"Guess I'll just have to sleep on it then. Whatever happens, it'll keep until morning." He muttered, opting for an early night.
Meanwhile, Zoe and Zelda were working on their reports before Zoe glanced at her watch.
"OK Zelda, time to change gears, the meeting's starting soon." Zoe said.
"Got it." Sabrina replied, saving her report before pulling up a voice chat program. Zoe laid on Zelda's bed and pulled it up as well. Minutes later, they were two users from a crowd of at least twenty or thirty, and more were signing in by the minute.
Once the crowd had stopped growing, one user piped up.
"OK, we all here?" It was the voice of Sarah McMillan.
"I think so." Another piped up. If Zoe was right, this one was Mandy from the school's swim team. "Just let me check... yeah, most of us are here."
"Perfect." Sarah said happily.
"Get to the point McMillan. Some of us are watching the clock, remember?" Zoe said.
"True. Ladies, I know we may not like each other, and that's a certainty for some people." Sarah said, hearing a number of responses up and down the spectrum. "But there is one thing we can usually agree on. The boys of our school could stand to be brought down a few pegs. Well I have a way for us to do just that."
"Spit it out Sarah." Zelda chimed in.
"Well first, I'm putting a link up on the chat."Sarah replied, doing so. When Zelda opened it, both her and Zoe were surprised at the contents.
"Is that?"
"My little brother, yeah." Sarah replied, "Sporting the most darling little party dress. What makes it even better is that no matter how hard he tries, he can't take it off, not that I think he'd want to with that smile!"
"But why's he smiling? And what's with the pose?" Zoe asked.
"The smile's thanks to his new earrings, while the pose is thanks to his gloves and shoes. Each item of clothing and each accessory does something different to mess with the wearer. The shoes force him to mince around, the gloves have very little friction on the outside while rendering him limp-wristed and the earrings work by setting an expression and they force the wearer to show it for as long as they wear the earrings. The necklace restricts what he can say and even forces him to try and sound girly. Finally the dress restricts waist movement while also increasing the touch-sensitivity of whatever it covers, then it proceeds to stimulate those areas while the dress is being worn, so right now my brother's experiencing both heaven and hell. I call them 'Fashion Traps', and they're how we're going to deal with the boys at our school." Sarah explained.
"Really? This is your plan? I doubt the boy's would like us to put them in dresses." One girl said.
"Why do you think I've gotten so many of you to come here?" Sarah replied. "If we work together to overpower them, we can just force the boys into these outfits and then they'll be stuck with them! I'm sending you all a list of what I've got, all you guys need to do is tell me what you're after and I'll make sure you get them."
"Where'd you get all this from anyway?" Zelda asked.
"I have my ways." Sarah replied, "All that really needs saying though is that I've got all kinds of outfits, both normal-looking and overblown costumes, up for grabs. The one condition is that they go on a boy."
The conversation continued on for a little while. When it wound down, Sarah was really looking forward to tomorrow. Every girl that had shown up had been convinced and now everything was set for tomorrow. She turned to her little brother Fred who was sat prettily on the floor, not that he had a choice thanks to what he was wearing.
"Aw, don't you look adorable." Sarah smirked.
"...Yes... sister..." Fred replied, clearly trying to say anything else and failing. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't even stop smiling...
"Come along, I'll take it all of that ensemble off for you in the morning. You can spend the night all dolled up." Sarah said, grabbing Fred's hand and helping him up. She noted that even though she could barely hold anything when she tried out the gloves earlier thanks to how little friction there was, now that she was wearing her own stuff, she had no trouble keeping hold of her brother's hand. She figured that it must be something that only hinders the wearer.
"Besides, tomorrow is the dawn of a new era at my school. This time tomorrow, almost every boy in my school will look and act just as girly as you do, whether they want to be or not."
