The next morning Jon woke up and looked around his room. Everything seemed to be the same as normal. "Huh" Jon thought to himself. "I guess that I didn't have to be so worried about my wish after all". Jon got out of bed and before leaving his room he put on a pink nightgown over his pyjamas. Crossing over to his parent's room he gently opened the door and looked inside. Everything seemed to be normal in here as well, so he gave a gentle knock on the door and said "mom, dad. Time to get up" he was greeted as usual by a groan from his parents. "Five more minutes Jon" his mother replied. Jon waited until he saw his father starting to get up "Ok mom," he said "only today though." Closing the door behind him, Jon saw that the bathroom door was closed which meant that Zoe was up. "Yep, everything's normal." Jon thought to himself dropping his fears about his accidental wish last night. As Jon headed downstairs to get breakfast ready, Jon heard the shower in his parent's en suite start indicating that at least his father was up. Entering the kitchen Jon started getting breakfast ready. Jon was reaching for the boxes of cereals when Zoe entered. She wrapped her arms around Jon's waist and leaned her head on Jon's shoulders. "Morning babe" she said greeting him with a kiss on the neck. Jon stopped reaching and turned to look at his sister with a smile on his face "morning honey" he replied before kissing his sister on the lips. As he did so Zoe squeezed her brother's butt making him giggle. "Zoe, Stop!" Jon said playfully slapping his sister's wrist.
Zoe released Jon from her embrace and went to make some coffee. Jon watched his sister as she did so. Zoe was wearing a white scoop neck blouse with black trousers. Her long black hair was done up into a neat bun. Jon loved his sister. There was just something about her that drove him wild. She was so confident, the way she carried herself, how she dressed. There was a sense of authority on her. Jon stopped staring at his sister and then went to get dressed himself. On the way to his bedroom Jon stopped by his parent's room to check on his mother. Approaching the door his dad came out dressed in a black suit, his black hair spiked up a bit. "Is she..?" Jon began but his dad answered his question with a grunt and a nod before he could finish. Satisfied Jon went into his bedroom to get his clothes. As he headed for the bathroom that he shared with his sister and brother, Jon saw the door open and out stepped Mikey. Mikey was wearing a red checkered shirt with blue jeans looking very mature for his age (it was a masculine version of what Jon's aunt Sharron would wear). "Mikey appears to be normal as well" Jon thought in regards to his wish and so with that thought he completely forgot about the wish and went for a shower.
After the shower Jon got dressed. He put on a light pink (pink was his favourite color) polo shirt and some blue skinny jeans. Once he was dressed he went over to the bathroom mirror and styled his hair a bit and then shaved his face. Jon took pride in his appearance and always made sure that he looked good for his sister. Jon just wished that his father would take better care of his appearance. He was so moody all the time and he always wore dark clothes. Jon shook his head in disappointment and checked his appearance again in the mirror. Satisfied with his look he headed back downstairs for breakfast. "Wow, Babe! You look amazing!" Zoe exclaimed as Jon entered the kitchen. "Aw thanks honey." Jon replied to his sister as he gave her a kiss on the cheek and sat down for breakfast. "Hey mom," Mikey said "don't forget you need to take me to school today." Linda sighed but nodded in reply. "Oh and also honey." Jon said to his mother "Don't forget to do your chores today." Linda groaned at this "Just because you get to stay at home all day doesn't mean that you can just sit on the sofa all day." Jon continued. "I don't want to come home from school this afternoon to find that you spent the day watching TV or playing video games." "Geez! Ok Jon, I won't forget." Linda replied to her son.
After breakfast Zoe said goodbye and headed off to school saying that she had to meet up with her friends. Jon was a little disappointed and had hoped that she would walk with him today but nodded in understanding and kissed her goodbye. Jon made sure that his father had everything in his briefcase before sending him off to work while Linda took Mikey to school. Jon checked that he had all of his homework before heading out himself. After locking the door behind him he made his way to school. Jon met Karyn on the way at their usual place. She looked the same as normal only looking a bit more tired. "Morning Karyn" Jon greeted his friend. "Hey Jon-boy" Karyn replied. "You look tired" Jon said "Yeah" Karyn agreed "It's hard being an only child with two parents." Jon nodded in understanding "I can imagine" he said. "At least you have Zoe" Karyn said. Jon smiled as he thought about his sister. "Yeah, isn't she great?" Karyn agreed and they continued on their walk to school.
