"What's that? A stone? How can that help?" Santa asked.
"You mean you don't know what this is?" Jon asked, surprised. But then he remembered that that one elf at the North Pole had the same reaction. "It's a wishing stone. It's how I was able to come to the South Pole and also how I got that warm heavy coat," he explained, pointing to the coat lying on the back of a chair nearby.
"Well, this certainly changes things," Santa said. For the first time in years, he felt like he had real hope. "But before we go charging back to the North Pole, I think we should come up with a plan. My counterpart's power had been diminished, but it's not gone. And I'd imagine that he has a tight grip on my elves, forcing them to do his bidding."
"Yeah, he does," Jon said, remembering.
"Then we have to be careful about this. Our plan has to be perfect."
