"Something bothering you?" Zoe said, taking a seat behind the desk. "If you can explain it to me, without using the word fuck every sentence, maybe I can help?"
"I didn't come to the door. I was f...here..." Robert insisted. "Then suddenly, it was like she didn't recognize me...and I...don't know why."
Zoe debated about telling him and then she decided that she would. It wasn't like the situation could get any worse.
"It's alright" Zoe said. "I understand. The same thing is happening to me".
Robert looked at her confused.
"Allow me to explain." She said. "For some reason you and I seem to be swapping with each other."
"What!?" Robert exclaimed. "How is that fucking possible?" Zoe stared at him. "I mean, how is that possible?" He corrected himself.
"I don't know" Zoe said. "It started the other night when I was in my room and suddenly my phone started playing classical music."
"That happened to me!" Robert said. "I was in my study working when suddenly some loud metal music started playing. I expected Amanda to come in and ask me turn it off but she never did" he explained.
Zoe nodded. "That's the thing. Only you and I seem to notice the swaps. I don't know how either." She added before Robert could ask.
"So what are we going to do?" Robert asked. Zoe thought about it for a moment.
"I have a friend named Athena" Zoe started. "She's probably your friend now. She knows a lot of stuff about magic. And she has a magical pendant that supposedly stops her from being affected by magic" Zoe explained.
"You seriously think that I'm going to believe in magic?" Robert said half laughing.
"Looking at us" Zoe said. "You don't have a choice"
