Meanwhile, in the dark, Sharon closed her eyes.
"Zoe dude!" Athena greeted her as Zoe walked up to her. Instead of their usual greeting though, Athena greeted her with a handshake. It was a rather firm one.
"I'm surprised you're here" she said.
"But I always come to Trevor's parties" Zoe thought to herself. Outloud she asked "why?"
"Well I know this isn't your sort of thing. You always like attending those posh charity dos." Athena replied.
"I do?" Zoe thought. Maybe it was another thing that had changed. She wasn't sure what it was yet but something was going on. Zoe took another sip of her drink.
"Yeah well tonight I thought I'd hang out with my friends" Zoe replied. "Although I'm not sure how much longer I'll be here" she thought to herself.
Zoe emptied her glass and poured another. She already had 4 glasses and was now starting to feel a slight buzz.
