Jon smiled awkwardly as Tim held out his chair for him. He thanked Tim as he sat down remembering to smooth his dress as he did. Tim had taken him to a rather nice restaurant. It wasn't too fancy or anything but it was within Tim's budget.
The waiter came and ordered their drinks while handing them a menu. Jon, as he apparently was on a diet, asked for a glass of diet coke. Once the waiter had disappeared Jon smiled at Tim. He wasn't really sure what to do and it seemed Tim wasn't either.
They made a bit of small talk until the waiter came back with their drinks. Tim then ordered a steak while Jon had a salad. While they waited they talked a bit more getting more comfortable as they did.
Jon had just taken a sip from his drink when somebody appeared next to them.
"Karyn!" Jon cried out in surprise. "What are you doing here!?"
