Meanwhile Jon and Karyn were sitting in the cafeteria at school eating lunch. Karyn was eating a big greasy burger while Jon was eating a salad. Jon had been about to order a burger as well when Karyn had given him a funny look. "Aren't you on a diet?" She asked. Jon ed to shake his head but he ordered the salad instead.
As they ate Tim came and joined them. He also had a burger on his tray. Jon looked at his friend's lunch choices longingly.
"So Jon." Tim asked "have you thought about what I asked you this morning?" Jon had thought about it. With the knowledge that he now liked boys Tim was looking very handsome and Jon was beginning to have feelings for him. Back when he was normal he had never thought about going out with Tim because he was a boy and was attracted to Karyn.
Now however, he found himself picturing himself and Tim on a romantic date together. "Yeah I have" Jon said smiling. "And?" Tim asked. "I will" Jon said. "Great!" Tim said happy that Jon had accepted. "I'll pick you up at 7". Jon nodded.
Karyn meanwhile had watched the exchange and was running. "Hey Tim. Can I talk to you for a sec? In private?" She glared at him but tried not to let the anger show in her voice. Tim looked at her confused for a moment but then said "sure".
The two got up and left the cafeteria leaving Jon on his own to wonder what was going on.
