"You can't," Jon insisted. "Not while I'm stuck like this."
"I'm sorry Jon" karyn said as they started walking towards school. "It's too risky. You could potentially make things worse" Karyn explained. Jon started to protest but Karyn interrupted him by putting her hand up. "I'll keep it safe until we can figure out a way to fix this or at least use it responsibly." Jon opened his mouth but then shut it and slowly nodded agreeing. It was his careless wish that had got him into this situation in the first place.
When they arrived at school they found their friend Tim waiting for them. "Hey guys" he said as they approached. "Hey Tim" Karyn and Jon replied. The 3 friends walked into school. "Hey um Jon, can I ask you something?" Jon nodded noting that Tim was acting nervous and rubbing his hands a bit as he asked. "Listen, are you doing anything tonight? I was wondering if we could hang out just the two of us".
Jon was taken aback. "Are you asking me out on a date?" He asked. Karyn was surprised and looked a little hurt. She glared at Tim. "Yeah, I guess" Tim said ignoring Karyn's glare. "Oh" Jon said shocked. "Erm, let me think about it" He said. "I'll let you know at lunch". "Ok, great" Tim replied and he hurried off to his first class.
"Great, now I'm being asked out by boys" Jon said sighing. "Yeah but you're not really going to go out with him are you?" Karyn asked who was secretly fuming that Tim had the nerve to ask Jon out in front of her. Jon thought about it for a moment as they headed towards class.
"I don't know" Jon said "He is kinda cute". They continued in silence for a while before Jon realised what he had just said "Oh crap!"
