"Really squirt?" snapped Jon, flexing his hands as he stood "Bet you wouldn't be saying that if this had happened to you." He looked down at his hands and sighed.
"Don't worry lad," said the second stranger, "Come with us and we'll teach you about your new powers."
"Cool, you're a superhero," grinned Mikey.
"Not exactly," laughed the first stranger, ruffling his hair, "Your brother is just a mutant."
"What?" sobbed Jon's mother.
"A mutant," snapped Jon, "A freak."
"Don't say that son," said his father.
"Why not," spat Jon, "C'mon, let's all ogle the freak." He flung his arms out theatrically, firing off several spines. They all stared in shock, including Jon.
"It'll be for your own good to come with us," said the first man, and Jon felt himself warming to the idea. "Our institute can help you hone your skills and teach you how to adapt. Wouldn't you like that?" Jon nodded, starting to like the idea. Then he realised something.
"Your one too aren't you?" He gasped "A mutant. You're doing something to my mind!"
