I understand your concern and they are important to me. I will never do a major character change for the sole purpose of "doing it" unless I have full approval of the writers.
I expressed concerns that a character or 2 disappeared, so to speak, and the answer was they were kinda meh. Since I'm starting from the beginning anyway, I just wanted to know if a retconn would help unmeh. Since not, no retconn
As for the Tim thing, i thought it was an interesting character quirk and when I was working on branch at the end of all with Jon talking to the Essence of the Universe, I was going to bring in a lot of examples of people who are better off, to help explain why no one changed.
Jon's conversation with Venus removed the need for such a post, which is why i never did it. It was just an interesting character direction and if the guy who hasn't written a word about the character is projecting into drow, well, he shouldn't be too vocal about defending his points of view. Totally fine.
As for fine tuning, the beginning was a little rough and I'm making a couple of super minor changes. In the opening of the comic, for example, there's a bit where they watch some changes on the news. That was totally Jay now, instead of someone to a nameless gynoid. Also, Lisa is anchoring, probably since some anchors didn't want to go outside.
There will also be (in stuff I haven't entirely committed to paper yet) some changes with Jon's interactions with the stone. Namely, I can't really pull back to an omniscient PoV and have the stone whisper in his head. I have to swing things around a bit and let Jon reveal info he picks up himself to Karyn.
I do have to make Jon act like an idiot in regards to how the sun hits him. But it was the first day, he was panicked, it kinda makes sense. You'll see, i hope. That's the biggest change so far.
I printed of the first section that I wanted to tackle from the change to entering the super market. I haven't thought anywhere past that. I have a history of picking too big projects and not seeing them through, so I'm keeping it small for now.
Believe me, I don't know if any of you have sat down and READ the thing recently, but its a LOT of work to read. that fact that you guys WROTE it baffles me. Even over years, this is still incredible. Its a masterpiece. I have the CHANCE to adapt a masterpiece and work with its creators.
No way in Hell I'm going to mess it up intentionally.
