Grimly the five of them followed the men out to a black SUV and got in. In silence they were driven to a lab just outside of town.
"Hey," said Trevor as they were driven into the below ground parking complex, "I recognise this place - my dad told me all about them. It's some weird new firm that's been stealing government contracts from his firm."
"Doesn't your dad work in genetics or something?" asked Jon nervously.
Before Trevor could answer, the car pulled to a stop and they were ordered out. Silently they followed the men to an elevator and took it down a few levels. They fidgeted anxiously all the way down and were led down a white tiled corridor to a lab.
"This is so sci-fi," whispered Karyn as the door closed behind them.
"Hello," said a man in a white coat "I'm Doctor Wells. If you'd be so kind as to change into those." He pointed to a pile of hospital robes. "And when you have, please take a seat here." He indicated five seats circling a bizarre looking machine which wouldn't have looked out of place in an episode of Star Trek. With a shrug, they all complied and grabbed a robe and headed to the changing cubicles nearby.
"So what is this?" Asked Sarah as they took their seats, " Is this like hormone shots to make us act like the opposite sex?"
"Non not exactly," replied Wells as he started hooking them up, "I couldn't dumb the science down enough for you to understand, and even if I could it'd take longer than we have - you'll be heading to orientation tomorrow morning so we need to start as soon as possible."
"But that's-" Sarah started to protest, but was silenced as he shoved something into he mouth and strapped her to her chair. He moved quickly, strapping and wiring them all in before they realised what was happening.
"See you in the morning," he said, hitting a switch. Almost instantly, they all felt sleepy and within seconds were out cold.
Jon groaned as he awoke, his head throbbing with pain. He glanced around realising that he was now in a hospital bed and started to sit up before freezing. His chest felt heavy and his crotch felt light. With a heavy sigh, he looked down, the mounds under his hospital robe confirming his sudden fear - he was physically a girl now!
