Jon read the email twice before closing the email app. Hi did not like the sound of it even one bit. His gaze shot to the stone laid on his bedside table. It had to be the work of his last wish to have something interesting happen.

This isn't interesting though. Jon couldn't help but think. This is plain creepy!

This was far to much to handle by himself. He needed Karyn to support him. And she was the perfect person not only because of being his best friend but also because she was already aware of the supernatural enclosed in that little piece of mineral in his room.

Karyn, please get to my house quick! URGENT he clicked send and the text went flying over the cell network straight to Karyn.

Almost at the same time his phone buzzed confirming reception of another message.

Ok punk, I hope this will prove I'm not joking around. I can sense you're thirsty. Would you rather have Pepsi or Coke?

That was quite a step down from the severity of the last question he received. Here the choice was easy, because he always preferred Pepsi, but also it didn't matter very much, because in the end they were essentially almost the same thing.

Pepsi he replied with a single word.

Jon held the phone, the thumb of his right hand scrolling up and down idly, just to keep the screen on, awaiting a reply. He wondered what would happen now... Should he expect a case of Pepsi arrive by post? A bottle magically materializing on his desk? He took a sip from a can in his left hand. No matter what was going to happen he hoped Karyn woul...

Wait a second... he stopped.

He looked at the item in his left hand he couldn't recall grasping.

A can of Pepsi.

"Holy shit!" he exclaimed inspecting the can close to his eyes.

Jon didn't feel the can appear in his hand. There was no magical tingling, no stone going warm in his palm, not even any weird feeling of the reality shifting behind the scenes... The can just was in his hand like it always had been. Except that it wasn't and he remembered that clearly.

With that he suspected the powers that were at play here were even stronger than the stone...

He didn't get to wonder on the subject very much longer as his phone buzzed again.

I hope you can see now this is no joke.

Yes, he could.

Another text.

Let's start having some harmless fun now. Would you rather...
