He looked himself over in the mirror, turning this way and that to check himself from every angle. He was quite impressed - he didn't realize he could still pull off the hot housewife look. He turned and walked back out into the bedroom. "Well Karyn, What do you think."
Her jaw dropped.
"That good huh?" He walked over and sat at the makeup table in the corner. He picked up a tube of mascara and looked up at Karyn in the reflection. "You think Richard would like it? It's been awhile since I wore a skirt just for around the house."
"Yeah," Karyn said, stifling a laugh "It's been awhile."
Jon looked at the clock on the bedside table. "Well, I'd best get started on dinner." He said standing up smoothing out his skirt as he did so.
"Would you like to stay for dinner?" Jon asked Karyn who was still staring at him with her mouth open. "I'm sure mom and Richard wouldn't mind."
Karyn finally closed her mouth. "Um, sure." She said looking a bit confused. "But Jon?" She asked. "Since when do you cook?"
Now it was Jon's turn to look confused. "What do you mean Karyn? I always cook for my family." He looked a little hurt and headed out of the room.
"Jon, wait!" Karyn said as she hurried after him. By the time she had caught up with him he was already downstairs talking to his parents.
"I'm just about to start on dinner." He announced. Karyn looked in the room. Jon's mom Linda was sitting on the sofa watching TV. She was currently wearing a black T-shirt and jeans. "She must've gotten changed while we were in Jon's room." Karyn thought to herself.
Jon's dad meanwhile was sitting in the armchair reading the paper. He had put the paper down when Jon had entered the room.
"Honey." Jon said to Richard. "Karyn's going to be staying for dinner tonight." His dad nodded in response.
"That's fine dear. You look lovely by the way." He said before returning to his paper.
Jon blushed and giggled at his father's compliments. "Thanks hon." He said before turning around and heading to the kitchen. Once inside Jon tied a white frilly apron around his waist.
Karyn meanwhile was standing in the hallway in shock of what she had just seen. "How am I going to fix this?" She thought to herself.
