"That good huh?" He walked over and sat at the makeup table in the corner. He picked up a tube of mascara and looked up at Karyn in the reflection. "You think Richard would like it? It's been awhile since I wore a skirt just for around the house."
"Yeah," Karyn said, stifling a laugh "It's been awhile."
Jon finished putting on his makeup and then turned round to face Karyn. "Do you want to stay for dinner?" He asked. "I'm sure mom and dad won't mind."
Karyn nodded.
Jon smiled. "Great, I'll get started."
Karyn looked puzzled. "What do you mean?" She asked him as they headed downstairs.
"Karyn I always cook for the family you know that."
"Right of course." Karyn replied.
As they passed the living room Jon stopped. "Karyn's going to stop for dinner" he announced.
"That's fine Jon." His mom replied. "How was the study session?"
"Um? Oh it was fine thanks. I think we'll pass the test." Jon said forgetting about his earlier lie.
"That's great son." His dad replied. "Oh and you look amazing by the way."
"Thanks dad" Jon replied smiling at the compliment.
Karyn and Jon continued to the kitchen where Jon started getting dinner ready.
