Jon and Karyn were hiding in a barn, not far from the river. It was risked to be found but they were too exhausted to go further.
Jon put his hand in his pocket and was releaved to find that the stone was still there. He took it and made a wish.
"I wish I knew what's happening here." he said.
But the stone remained cold and inert.
"Shit why isn't it working ?"
"They probably have deactivated it." Said Karyn.
"What ? How is it possible ?"
"They are the watchers, that's their job, destroy proof and kill witnesses."
"Witnesses of what ? Tell me what's happening here !"
"I can't tell you everything, you would lose your mind, but we have discover something much bigger than us at the excavations in the chili. Something who could destroy the balance between order and chaos."
"Wait we weren't with my grandfather at the excavations and if we were, why you can remember and not me ?"
Karyn just looked at Jon with face meaning she won't answer and looked again outside.
"Take a quick nap, we have to move as soon as possible." She said.
