Roger quickly scanned the letter and gasped. He then glanced up at Jon and his family and started to read the letter aloud.

"Dear Roger,

This letter is to inform you that both you and your son Jon have been chosen in today's lottery. As a special this week, we are doing pair reassignments, with 2 friends or family members being reassigned together, in the hopes that having another person reassigned with you will aid in the adjustment process.

Roger, you have been reassigned to Holly Peaks, a shy 18 year old girl who recently ran away from home and has just begun stripping at the Eager Beaver Men's Club outside of town.

Your son Jon has been reassigned to Holly's new friend Wendy "Whoppers" Dixon, a 22 year old stripper and prostitute that took Holly under her wing at the Eager Beaver.

We will be interested to see how the change in gender as well as the shift in relative experience and authority will play out. The father will become the inexperienced teen and the son the experienced and protective older friend. Of course, this will require more knowledge downloads for your son than for you, but that is not a problem. Our men should be arriving any moment to..."

Roger stopped reading as there was a pounding at the door.

"That must be them now. Goodbye..." he said as he hugged his wife and daughter. Jon wanted to run upstairs and grab the wishing rock from his room, but there was no time. His mother and sister hugged him tightly while his father opened the door. Men rushed in and escorted him and his father to waiting black SUVs in the street. He felt a prick in his arm as he got in and noticed a man pulling a needle away.

"Don't worry, you'll sleep the whole way to the Reassignment Center," the man said. "We find it makes things much easier this way."

Jon was suddenly very tired and closed his eyes, the last sight he had was of his father receiving a similar shot in the arm.
