After nearly half an hour, the dark-haired woman was able to calm Jon down enough to hear the full story of what had happened between him and Karyn. She was calm and sympathetic, which was exactly what Jon needed, and managed to convince him to go find Karyn and bring her to the clinic. She also suggested that there were some experimental procedures that they might be able to perform to return him to a state somewhat approximating his original condition.
So it was that Jon found himself knocking on Karyn's door, wearing clothes that felt much too large for him. It took him a moment to recognize the blonde amazon who answered the door, but it took even longer for Karyn to recognize Jon. Glancing up and down the street, Karyn grabbed Jon and swiftly pulled him inside.
