Getting inside, he almost immediately tripped over a medium size box near the entrance. Cursing, Jon pushed the box away and glanced around the entrance way of his new home.
It did look a lot like his old house, although much cleaner inside. The furnishings were plain in the living area. There was a couch, a big comfy chair, a coffee table, and a television. Everything was so well kept that Jon wondered if FemCorp had purchased it new just for this experiment.
Speaking of which... the box he had nearly tripped over had the company's logo on it. Jon picked it up and sat on the couch. The package even had his name on it.
The first thing he saw when he tore it open was more paper. FemCorp sure loved its paper. Underneath the paper were more items, each individually wrapped in plastic.
The paper contained a letter, written on elaborate FemCorp letter head. "Hello, Jon," it read. "Here is everything you need to know about your new life, as well as a few items to get you started."
The envelope he'd received earlier contained little more than an address and a general description of his role. The letter now in his hands was more comprehensive and even included a bullet point list of facts about just what kind of homemaker he was now going to be.
Jon's face fell as he read it. Life was going to be very different from now on.
