Fred thought about it and decided he had to fix this. He had made Sarah disappear!

"Uhm ... I wish you to have a daughter."

Fred's ability to understand wishes was pretty limited, but he was fortunate. The wish couldn't turn him into a girl--after all, he had already wished that he was his old dad's son (now making him his lesbian mother's son). Turning Fred into a girl would reverse the wish that he's that person's son.

Fred's new mother smiled. "Of course we will. There's a good chance of it, once we go to the sperm bank tomorrow. Wow, I can't believe I said that. Fred, what's going on?"

Of course, if you wish for something, the people who hear the wish remember the old reality. Fred's parents were not there for the wish that made them unrelated, but they were there for the wish that made Fred's dad his lesbian mother instead, so they remembered that he was a man. And in any case they knew who Fred was because of his wish for that.

"I don't know what a sperm bank is but I meant that it should happen now!" Since the stone couldn't create life it couldn't make an extra person. "I wish Sarah is okay! Dad, is Sarah okay?"

"Sarah's okay," said his dad, who had suddenly gained memories of Sarah in the new reality as well as still remembering Sarah as her daughter when she was a man. "Your cousin, age 17?" (Fred felt relieved that at least that part worked.) "All this stuff is confusing. First, we must have forgotten you, but now we remember who you are. Then, I'm a woman and I'm planning to use a sperm bank, and Sarah is your cousin. What exactly did you do?"

"I don't know, Dad!" said Fred.

"Call me 'Mom'. You have to. I know that I used to be your dad but I don't remember it. I just remember being a man with Sarah as my daughter and being a woman with you as my son."

"I wish you aren't confused, and I mean both of you."

That was enough to erase memories. They now only remembered a life as lesbians with Fred as the son of one of them. Fred would soon find out--sooner if he questioned them, but he was just a kid and didn't think of that. It was also wish number 7, leaving Fred with three wishes. "I... no, I shouldn't say it. I can't make you go away using magic. Mom, Dad, never mind, okay? I'mn fine, I just need to do some homework." They had come into his room because they thought he was a stranger. He wasn't a stranger, so shouldn't they leave now?

They did leave and Fred looked around his room/ Everything seemed normal. There were some slight differences (he didn't know that a lesbian mother might buy toys that are less violent than a dad would). He just needed to wish for some things that he really wanted.

But he didn't know that he only had three wishes. Could he manage to finish them without messing things up?
