This time we had somewhat different looking opponents. They both appeared to be some type of wolf/human hybrid, and looked nasty. The bell rang and we went to work, this time working together instead of taking the opponents out one at a time.
We discovered we could combine our abilities and created our first double-tech, FLYING DAGGER. Suzie got a running start towards me and I took my position. When she got to me, she jumped into the air and I hit her feet throwing her like a dagger into our opponents. We could not match them on speed, but they were not prepared for this. She connected with both sending them into a dizzy spell, which left them open for us to finish them.
We again were victorious, and this time were rewarded with 150GIL and a mysterious card that she choice from the male.
The next three fights went pretty much the same, each time we pushed our opponents into a corner, and each time we walked away from the fight with little to no wounds. One sword fighter got a good hit into my arm, but Suzie fixed it all up with a little of her Cure magic.
When all was said and done from the first five rounds we had made and additional 285GIL and scored a toolkit, a lance and a pair of fishnets, apparently the fishnets were something special for a girl to wear, I do not really know.
However, I did know that since we were done with the first 5 rounds, we had time to rest and relax before our next leg of the tournament began, so we decided to head to the lounge and talk. I really wanted to know why she did not tell me that we would be fighting together, and what else she knew about this, but had to make sure I did not come off as a macho jerk, so
