Not long after Jon had entered his blank trance, a young girl padded over to him and tugged on his pants leg.
"Have you seen my mommy?" she asked, looking up at Jon with big green eyes.
Jon turned his head slowly, looking down at the girl, as his sponge of a mind began to shift in response to the girl's question.
