*The blond was tired. She really just wanted to go to sleep. They had class in the morning, and it might only be the second day but she didn't feel like drifting through it like a zombie. On the other hand, how could she leave this girl Alicia alone? What if she did something stupid? She knew about the rock and how it worked. More importantly, she was worried that Alicia might do something that might harm Jon. She would have to stick with this then. It was either that or try and get the stone now, but that didn't seem very likely. She just had to last the night. As soon as Alicia went to sleep, Jon would be back. Then they could fix this.
"Alright," she relented, sliding down the doorframe until she was sitting on the floor, "What do you want to do?" She stifled a yawn.*
"Well," Alicia said, "I've been thinking about it and I've always wanted to go out clubbing, have a real night out on the town. What do you think?" The brunette was sitting on the edge of the bed, fingering the stone gently in one hand. "I mean it beats sitting around here all night doesn't it?"
I've always wanted to, Karyn thought to herself. That wasn't something you'd say if you just popped into existence was it? Maybe there was something to the Jekyll and Hyde theory she had come up with earlier. Maybe Alicia was simply another part of Jon. Strangely, that possibility made her feel a little better. There was a chance that, in some way, it was still her friend in there and not some soulless entity. Of course she knew all too well that this was only supposition.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Karyn asked, standing back up. "I don't wanna snub you," and that was the truth. While Alicia was holding the stone, she didn't want to do anything that might make her angry, might make her act out against her or Jon, "but I'm exhausted and I don't want to miss class tomorrow. Besides, it's already after midnight. By the time we get dressed and get into the city, everything's going to be closing down for the night."
"So?" Alicia asked rather brusquely, "Like any of that's a problem for a couple of girls with an all-powerful wish granting stone."
Suppose I walked into that one, Karyn thought to herself. Probably better to humor her and go along. At least I can limit the damage. She's probably going to go out whether I go along or not, and I don't like the idea of her out clubbing alone.
"Okay," she relented.
"Good," Alicia smiled widely. "First things first. We can't go out in public dressed like this, can we?" Holding the stone tightly, she said, "I wish that Karyn and I were dressed for a night out on the town." There was a flash of light and when it faded, the two girls were indeed dressed for a night out.
Karyn was wearing a black halter top that displayed most of her ample cleavage and a matching leather skirt that stopped a couple of inches above her knees. Dark nylons rand down the remainder of her shapely legs and slid into the fancy black heels that she found herself wearing. A moderate amount of makeup had been applied to her face, her long blond hair was tied back in a ponytail, and a trendy black purse had slung itself over her shoulder.
Alicia had dressed a bit more modestly. She was wearing a tight black sweater, her noticeable breasts straining against the fabric, and a pair of tight black leather pants that clung to the curve of her hips. On her feet she wore a pair of heels similar to Karyn's. Her long, chestnut hair fell loosely over her shoulders and framed her face perfectly. Like Karyn she was wearing a little makeup, and an identical purse over her shoulder.
"Wow," was all Karyn could say. She'd never dressed like this in her life, having had much simpler tastes, but as she glanced at herself in the mirror she had to admit that she was a knockout. Not that she liked the situation any more than she had earlier, but she could admit when she was impressed.
"I know," Alicia said, stepping up behind her, "You look great. Just one more thing." She was about to make another wish when the other bathroom door, the one linking to Zoe's bedroom opened. Turning at the sound, they looked and saw
