"Tell me about this Mark Gibson," Steve Renner said. He was one of the high-paying clients that Mark had a meeting with today.
His assistant Marcy Whitman told him what they knew about Jon's father and it was all high praise. Mark was a very good salesman. And if this deal went through, he could have a very very bright future indeed.
"Shirley, are they in there?" Mark asked his secretary, walking towards the conference room.
"Yes, Mr. Gibson. They're ..." When she looked up, she stopped and stared. What the hell was her boss wearing?! "Wait ... uh ..." She didn't know what to say, as she watched him walk into the conference room. Was he trying to get fired?
"Good morning," Mark said, walking into the room. He turned and smiled at the three potentially long-term clients. But they weren't smiling back. In fact, they looked shocked.
"Is this some kind of joke?" the older of the two men sitting there asked. That was Steve Renner. The graying hair made him seem older than he was, as he was only about 45-years old. But it gave him a distinguished look that Mark admired.
"Excuse me?" Mark asked.
"Do you think this is funny? Because it's not." He stood up and made his way to the door, followed closely by his two associates.
"Wait. Where are you going?" Mark asked. What did he do wrong? The biggest opportunity in his career was walking right out the door and he had no clue why.
"We're leaving," Steve said. "You should be ashamed of yourself. Dressing like a woman."
Mark was obviously confused. Why shouldn't he dress like a woman?
