Nothing apparently interesting happened the rest of the day and night, so Jon just figured that whatever would happen would probably happen in the morning or sometime else during the next day. So, he went to sleep.
The next morning, he still didn't notice anything interesting or out of the ordinary. Maybe he wouldn't, he figured. The wish was so vague, it could have done anything, really.
He walked downstairs to grab some breakfast before he got ready for school, and that's when he saw him ... his father (Mark Gibson). Normally, he wouldn't stop and stare. But this morning his dad was anything but normal.
This must have been because of his wish. There couldn't have been any other explanation.
