"Wait, we need to figure this out," Sarah said.
"Figure what out?" Molly asked. "Listen, I don't know what's going on and I don't really care. I have to get home." She pushed past them, then headed towards the mall's main entrance.
The four teens looked in that direction. The cloud was there a moment ago, but now it was gone. They had lost their chance to follow it. But was following it the best course of action anyway? If they got in its way like Molly had, who knew what it would do to them?
"Let her go," Kyla said. "We don't need her help to figure out what's happening."
Sarah rolled her eyes. There was that same arrogant independence that Kyla was known for. She thought she could always do everything by herself.
