"Listen to me!" Molly yelled so that everyone could hear. "There's a ... cloud ... moving around. Don't let it touch you. It'll change you ... into someone else." Immediately, she knew that she wasn't making any sense and was probably dismissed as a nut who just wanted attention. But how else could she warn people?
She watched the cloud move towards one of the occupied tables. "Watch out!" she yelled. But the people at the table were purposely ignoring her.
"What's all that yelling?" Kyla asked, turning towards the food court seating area. "What the hell?"
Jay and the two nerds looked too. There was this large billowing mass of smoke or fog or something moving around the tables towards one table in particular. Now that the four of them thought about it, they had seen that cloud before. Just a few minutes ago, in fact. Why didn't they remember that until right now? It was obviously a strange thing, something you shouldn't forget.
They watched as a girl (perhaps around 12 years old) jumped up and down and waved her arms around. She was the one that was yelling. They listened to her, realizing that she was trying to warn people about the cloud. But no one was paying attention to her ... except for Kyla, Jay, Biff, and Sarah.
