The cloud seemed to become so thick that Molly couldn't see either the family or the cheerleaders or what was happening to them. Then the cloud became translucent again, before heading off in a new direction.
Molly just stood there, staring at the people that the cloud had affected. The members of the family (the father, the mother, and the young teenage boy) were all dressed in cheerleading uniforms. And the cheerleaders were no longer cheerleaders. All three girls were dressed differently now. One girl was dressed as a man, another was dressed as a woman, and the third one was dressed as a teenage boy.
The family continued talking, but it sounded like gossip, as they talked about fashion and boys. The three teenage girls, on the other hand, were talking like members of a family.
The cloud had switched them. Molly briefly wondered if any of them knew that they had changed, just like she knew, before continuing her pursuit of the cloud.
