Molly ran down the stairs and into the cloud herself. She moved from one person to the next, shaking them, trying to make them notice her, but they wouldn't move. They were breathing, though. So they were still alive. But it was like they were stuck in place.
She ran to her mommy and tried to pull her down towards her, trying to make them move at all, and that's when (to Molly's horror) her mommy's arm came off, like one of those department store dummies. She looked down at it, not quite understanding what was happening, then tossed it on the floor. It hit the floor with a thump. But then an odd idea occurred to her. She turned to her daddy and pulled his arm, just like she had with her mommy, and his arm came off. Then she connected it to her mommy's body. Amazingly, the arm actually looked like it was part of her mommy's body. She then picked up the arm on the floor and attached it to her daddy's body. And just like with her mommy, the arm looked like it was part of her daddy's body.
She smiled, realizing that this could be a fun game. So, she proceeded to swap heads and limbs from all three people. And when she was done, the strange cloud moved out of the room and out of the house ... and the three "new" people were finally able to move again.
