Realizing that Zoe wouldn't come in contact with any other people for a while, if she decided to stay in her room, the cloud decided to just change her and be done with it. It could always find someone else to change.
So, after it floated out Zoe's bedroom window, it snaked its way through the neighborhood until it found the perfect host. And then just like with Zoe, the cloud was absorbed into the person's body until it was needed to change someone, making them become like the person it was occupying.
But who was the person that the cloud picked to be its new host?
