Athena's day was surreal, to say the least. After her heart to heart with her new sister, the former goth slipped into her morning routine. Well, her new morning routine. Previously she remembered wearing dark, dramatic clothing, applying heavy white and black make-up, and only drinking coffee for breakfast.
As much as she tried to convince herself to be the old Athena, she just couldn't make herself follow through. Instead she luxuriated in a long, hot shower, spent way too much time exploring her new closet (the orange sundress she picked was so cute!), applied some light make-up, and devoured a bowl of fruit salad for breakfast.
Miraculously she made it to school on time, only to be greeted by other alien experiences. Her new friends on the volleyball team were all excited to see her, sharing gossip and giggling. Her new boyfriend Alex made his tongue familiar with her mouth, although she couldn't blame him after the dirty talk she'd caught herself whispering in his ear. Even her teachers treated her differently! Mrs. Yothers, the the history teacher, smiled at Athena every time the teen answered a question, which she did often (she just couldn't keep her mouth shut!)
As much as Athena was enjoying her new life, she couldn't help but wonder if something deeper, something more nefarious was afoot. She determined that no matter how, like, totally awesome her life got, she was going to get to the bottom of it!
Meanwhile, the cloud...
