"I wish you'd tell me why this stupid stone is so important to you." Trevor said. The stone briefly flashed, catching his attention. "Holy shit, what was that?" he asked.
Jon would have tried to make some excuse, perhaps blaming the flash on the light hitting the stone, but he was already bound by the wish. "That's a wishing stone that was left to me by my grandfather." he said. When he heard the words that escaped his lips, his hands flew up to cover his mouth.
Trevor gave him an incredulous look, then glanced down to the stone. "A wishing stone? There's no way..."
Jon saw this as his chance. "Yeah...you're right. I was just fucking with you." he said. "It's just some old rock my grandpa gave me, so if I could just have it back..."
"I wish I had five hundred dollars in my pocket." Trevor said. The stone flashed again, and Jon turned even more pale than he already was. Trevor reached into his pocket and pulled out five one hundred dollar bills. He grinned as he looked between the money and the stone.
"Holy shit." Trevor said. "This is fucking unbelievable. You were holding out on us, Zoe."
"Please, Trevor, that belongs to me..."
"Oh, I'm aware of that. But, way I see it, since I retrieved it, I should get a few wishes, don't you think?" Trevor said, holding up the stone.
Jon gulped at this. I knew this was a bad idea... he thought.
