"Who is that?" Jon asked, looking at the portrait.
"How should I know?" Karyn asked back.
Jon took the stone out of his pocket and wished to know who that woman was. After the stone glowed, he got his answer.
"Well?" Karyn asked.
"Her maiden name was Lindsay Collins, now she's Lindsay Black."
"I've never heard of her."
"The stone told me that she used to be Lindsay Weber, the stepmother of Erica Weber."
"You mean the cheerleader? How did her stepmother become my mother? And where did my real mother go?" Karyn asked.
Erica shuffled down to breakfast, not wanting to converse with her stepmother. But imagine her shock and confusion when she saw someone completely different in her kitchen. She had no way of knowing this, but this woman used to be Karyn's mother. Now she was Erica's stepmother.
