Steve stood speechless. It was Ms. Warren who spoke up again.
"Did I make myself clear, young man? Are you going to beat up this little pussy faggot or what?"
Jon was shocked at the words coming out of Ms. Warren's mouth.
"Ma'am!" Steve replied, "I'm shocked! Jon may be different from you, but that's no excuse for that kind of language and behavior! You are a grown woman! Perhaps you should start acting like it!"
Ms. Warren sneered at Steve, "Are you his boyfriend or something?"
"Don't make me report you to the principal or superintendent! You could lose your job! I'll forget this ever happened if you just leave right now."
