The changes to Jon's bedroom were immediately noticeable. On the bookcase in the corner of the room were dozens of romance novels, which upon seeing them caused him to smile a bit. He was very fond of that type of fiction ... or was he? He frowned, then looked at the walls. Instead of blue, they were painted bright pink with lavender highlights. What the hell? And were those dollies on the top shelf of his bookcase? He blinked. Well, of course they were dollies. They were his dollies. He blinked again. What the hell? Why would a teenage boy like himself have dollies belonging to a little girl ... or romance novels that should belong to an adult woman? Like maybe his mother? He shook his head. What was going on here?
He headed to his bed, but then stopped when he saw his reflection in the mirror. What had happened to him?! He stopped and stared. He looked so pale and ... was that a piercing in his eyebrow and also in his nose? And was that eyeliner around his eyes? He looked like ... well, he looked like he was trying to look like a Goth, but not totally. Well, it was part of a look that Zoe might have, but his hair was still its normal brown color and he wasn't wearing lipstick or nail polish like Zoe would. No, his nail polish was a very normal reddish pink color ...
Wait, what?
He looked down at his obviously-manicured nails and saw the coating. It was the color his Aunt Sharon usually wore. What the hell was going on? How could all this ...
Suddenly, he remembered his wish from the previous night, the one that was vague. Maybe this was the interesting thing he wished for? It must have been. But what was happening? It was like different aspects of his sister's, his mom's, his aunt's, and his cousin's lives and personalities were being mixed with his own. Was the same thing happening to them too? That would explain Sally's odd use of profanity and why his mom chose to use the shared bathroom instead of her own. What did that wish do to his family? And did it affect anyone else? Or would it?
He dropped the towel from around his body and opened his underwear drawer. He winced, seeing the little boy's underpants in an array of bright cheery colors, then said aloud "Well, there's Mikey's part in all this." He took a pair out and reluctantly put it on. It fit perfectly, as it was his size. But he hoped no one at school would see him like this. They might think he was some kind of sissy or something. Perhaps there was some kind of way to fix all of this? Maybe he didn't have to leave the house looking like this. Maybe he could make a wish and fix everything that happened.
Jon turned and sashayed over to where he left the stone. But then stopped in his tracks. Why the hell was he walking like that? He wasn't walking like that earlier. Things must have been still changing! Now he was walking just like his Aunt Sharon! He had to put a stop to this, if he could.
