When they got to the school, they were immediately presented to a work of horror. It seemed that every third student that they came across was changed by some way, thanks to those experimental procedures. What was really weird was that a lot of the changed people weren't even on the bus.
"I thought you made a wish to make it so that the people in crash were okay," Karyn said.
"No, I wished that those experimental procedures would save the lives of everyone caught in the bus accident." Jon stopped and nearly gasped. He realized his mistake. His wish affected both the people who survived and those that didn't. The doctors must have used the experimental procedures to add parts of the dead bodies to people who were still alive, whether they were in the crash or not.
"Jon, do you realize what you've done?" Karyn asked.
He looked around, knowing exactly what he had done.
Melissa Smith (a close friend of Sarah McMillan) walked down the hall. She wasn't in the bus crash, but the head sticking out of her neck was. It belonged to Gladys Brewer, one of the students that unfortunately died in the crash. Although, maybe Gladys wasn't as dead as she was before the experimental procedures. Because right now, both Gladys and Melissa were arguing with each other. Melissa wanted to go to cheerleading practice and Gladys wanted to go to the cafeteria to get something to eat. Melissa kept saying that she was on a diet, but Gladys kept complaining that she was hungry and didn't care.
On the other side of the hall, Jon saw the jock Tom Welles. From the waist up he looked exactly the same, but below the waist, he had an extra leg! He was trying his best to walk, but it was extremely difficult.
And walking towards Jon right at that moment was Steve "The Stud" Farber, apparently the hottest guy in school. But not anymore, unless girls liked guys with big breasts. He tried to hide them as best as he could, but it was no use. They were just too big to hide. It was obvious that he was extremely embarrassed.
"Just use the stone, Jon. Use it and fix all of this," Karyn said.
