For 4 days Jon was a nervous wreck, not knowing what had changed, if anything, and not having the guts to use the stone again even to find out took it's toll on him. He told Karyn, of course, but after a while she told him to relax, if he can't tell what's changed then he's dodged the bullet. Jon wasn't so convinced, but there was something in what Karyn said and he finally decided to relax.
Then the phone rang.
"Jon! I've done it!" said the voice on the line.
"Wait..." Jon said, "Leonard?"
"Of course it's me!" he said, "who else would it be!?"
"Um..."
"Look, there's no time for idol chit chat! My invention works! Come to my basement as fast as you can!"
And with that he hung up.
Invention, Jon though, I'm not so sure about this.
Well it looks like Jon was finally going to find out what his wish did and if that was the case he felt he had no choice but to go and find out what Leonard had made.
He picked up his coat and making sure his stone was still hidden he made his way to Leonard's house.
"Oh hello Jon!" said Leonard's mom at the door, "I haven't seen you since you where this high"
"Um, is Leonard in?"
"Oh yes, he's in the basement"
Jon was let in and made his way down stairs and what he seen there shocked him! A giant machine straight out of a scifi! It had tubes and wires and buttons and dials and computers and teslacoils!
"Wow!" Jon let out.
"Ah I see you like it!" Leonard beamed.
"What does it do?"
"Why I told you what it was going to do once I started building it! It's a ...."
