Jon's mother wasn't outrageously Goth, though. Her hair had been dyed black, her skin was pale, and she wore black make-up. But besides that, she was still dressed fairly the same as usual: a blouse (in this case, black instead of white or some powder color), a skirt, and a pair of 3-inch heels. Mikey didn't look a whole lot different either. Yes, he had the pale skin, black hair, and some black make-up (just a bit of eyeliner around his eyes and polish on his nails), but he was wearing a black T-shirt and a pair of black jeans. Just change the color of the clothing and it was no different than normal. It's not like his mother and brother were walking around in corsets or something.
But then there was his sister Zoe, who looked nothing at all like a Goth now. Tanned skin, blond hair, pink make-up. Her clothing consisted of a pink spaghetti strap tank top and a white pleated micro miniskirt. On her feet were pink 4-inch heels. It was just like The Munsters. A bunch of creepy people and then the one normal one. But Jon still wouldn't call what Zoe was right now "normal". Really, she looked like she belonged to the popular crowd, along with the likes of Sarah McMillan, Tiffany Sanders, Melissa Smith, and the rest of them. Zoe hated those girls and more importantly, she hated how they dressed and acted. But now she was just like them. Or was she?
As Jon sat down at the table, he listened and watched how his family interacted with each other.
