His mother was now on the screen. Her outfit and hairstyle were totally different, but Jon recognized her immediately. She was sitting at a table, talking to three other women. In fact, she was talking as though nothing was wrong. It was as though she was now a character in the show. It was then that Jon realized what show it was.
It was Sex and the City. Jon recognized the other actresses around the table, and realized that his mother seemed to have taken the role of Carrie Bradshaw. She was acting just like her, wearing her clothes, and saying all of her lines perfectly. So that's what my wish did? It sucks people into the TV and puts them into the roles of characters on screen? I need to fix this.
Jon was about to run back to his room to get the stone, but he ran right into Zoe who was on her way into the family room.
"What's going on?" she said, sounding worried. "I thought I heard mom screaming." Jon was searching for an explanation when she saw the TV.
"What the fuck! Is that mom? How did that happen?"
"I don't know." Jon lied. He wasn't about to let his sister know that he had caused this, and he definitely couldn't let her find out about the stone. "I heard the scream too, and when I got here she was just being sucked into the TV."
Zoe watched for a couple seconds. "She's acting just like that bimbo from that stupid show. It's like she doesn't even realize what happened." She looked back at Jon. "What should we do?"
Jon shrugged.
