Nadine Ferguson (a 17-year old who shared a few classes at the high school with Jon and Karyn, and a girl who had a reputation for being a "bible thumper") carried the box into her bedroom and opened it. Inside were a bunch of small pill bottles, like the ones someone might see at a drug store. But the labels were completely unlike anything someone would see in a store.
She picked one up and looked at the label:
SMART PILLS - Husband too dumb for you? These will fix that.
"What the heck?" Nadine uttered. She picked up another one:
ABSTINENCE PILLS - Boss refuses to stop making passes at you? Not anymore.
"Is this for real?" She picked up another one:
RELIGIOUS PILLS - Co-worker won't devote his life to church like you do? Try these.
Nadine laughed. Not because it was funny, but because she was thinking of ways to use these things (if they really were real) and was become giddy over it.
She looked at the rest:
PROGRESSION PILLS - Brother says you're too mature? Give these a try.
SUGGESTION PILLS - Boss won't listen to you? Now he will.
CONSERVATIVE PILLS - Co-worker too liberal? These will straighten her out.
Nadine opened up one of the small bottles and saw that it only contained about ten to fifteen pills. But according to the instructions she found in the box, each pill would last 24 hours, so she had enough ... for now. Also according to the instructions, the pills could be placed in drinks for easy consumption. Once the pill made contact with the liquid, it immediately dissolved into the drink. And an increased dosage would increase the level of effect.
She smiled to herself, knowing exactly who to try these on first.
