"And where do you three think you're going?" Aunt Linda asked, rounding a corner and catching the three Goth sisters by surprise.

"Out," Keera said plainly.

"I don't think your mother ..." Linda began.

"Fuck what our mom thinks," Keera said.

"Yeah," Mai agreed.

"Now listen here," Linda said, sounding more stern. "I know I'm not your mother, but you will not speak about her like that and you will not leave this house ..."

"Try to stop us," Keera said.

Linda groaned. Keera had always been such a bitch. She hated to think that about one of her nieces, but it was true. Once Keera set her mind on something, you couldn't dissuade her from it.

She just stood there and watched as the three Goth girls headed to the front door, then left. Yvette turned before leaving and looked at Linda, saying "Sorry." Then the door closed behind them.

If those kids were my daughters, I'd ... Linda thought to herself, feeling frustrated by them. She wanted to stop them, but she wasn't their mom. She just didn't have the same sense of authority. Not that it would have made much of a difference, though. Keera would have left regardless and probably would have taken Mai with her. Yvette, on the other hand ... she seemed a bit more reasonable. But only a bit. If only they weren't into the Goth crowd, maybe they'd be a bit more ... controllable. But that was just wishful thinking. And wishes couldn't come true. (As far as she knew.)

In Jayde and Jayne's bedroom, Jayde laid back down on her bed and as she drifted back to sleep, she thought about her wish for something interesting to happen and wondered just what it would do. Maybe she'd find out in the morning.

Little did she know, the wish had already been fulfilled (and perhaps may still be changing things). She remembered making the wish, but she didn't remember being a teenage boy named Jon. Neither did her sister Jayne. Those memories were slowly erased from their minds as they slept. But they never forgot the wishing stone, which was stored away in the top drawer of the nightstand, which stood between both beds.
